My mission is to help create deeper and happier relationships between animals and their humans, by being a bridge of communication between the two.

MY STORY

equine horse

Growing up on the Isle of Man, my favourite memories are with animals. Dogs, cats and chickens bathing in the sink. Running around outside with goats and sheep. And most close to my heart, my pony, Spice. I remember how one summers evening he wouldn’t come in from the field and I sat there for three hours trying to catch him (a way for him to work out how committed I was to him) and our bond formed from there. Spice gave me so much companionship, confidence and belief in my dreams that has carried forward into all aspects on my life.

As I grew up I had a sense of knowing and was a sensitive child and also extremely stubborn.  I have had many incredible experiences with highs and lows lending to a great deal of learning about life.  My journey has given me the tools to empathise with many life situations for human and animal meaning there is a sense of security and reliability between us.

After 20 years working in IT, I started a new journey of self discovery and headed to Cyprus to do some soul searching. It was here that I experienced the power of holistic healing for myself. I also volunteered at an animal sanctuary, got imprinted on by a cat (still with me now), and started to learn Reiki. This all led me on the path to working with animals, and from there I continued to learn.

It wasn’t until the shake-up of COVID lockdown that I considered what I really wanted out of life, and aligned with this deep purpose I felt in my bones to become an animal healer. So I took the plunge, studied and gained the qualifications needed. I also started gaining deep experience working 60 hours with the world’s smallest bear - the endangered sun bear in Borneo, helping them release their captivity trauma and finally live with peace. Working with animals in this way truly lights up my heart, and I know this is one of the reasons I am here.

Having recently come out the other side of a breast cancer diagnosis, operation, lymph biopsy and radiotherapy, I feel my ability to relate to humans and animals who have been through big health conditions is even greater. This experience also reminded me of the important things in life, which to me, is helping animals and their humans deal with their challenges. If this is something you would like, I would love to support you.

The values that shape how I work

SAFE SPACE

Because all animals deserve to feel safe and cared for by their humans. When working with you and your animal, I never push, but instead create a warm and welcoming space where they feel relaxed enough to bring forth what they want to tell us.

NURTURING CARE

Because true care goes beyond medications and physical examinations. It’s about learning how to be attuned to our animals, and nurturing them just as they love us. This is why I teach not just quick fixes, but long term care practices that create true and lasting well being in your animal.

AUTHENTIC CONNECTION

Because an authentic connection between you and your animal is the key to their happiness. This means you understand them, and they understand that you care, because they are receiving what they truly need. This is how we create a deep and loving bond.

After being told by a knee specialist that I shouldn’t be able to run again, I have completed two half marathons as part of the Ironman 70.3 triathlons. Only because I delved deeper into how to support my body in order to achieve the outcome I wanted was this possible. This is how I see working with animals, with the understanding that there are more possibilities to support their needs.
